Social Sport

Summer Social Series 

Summer Social Series is an alternative option for students who want to participate in and try modified sports with their friends. This is a free series for secondary school aged students. No coaching or uniforms are required to be involved. The series will be delivered in partnership with local RSO's and sports providers 

Sports: Dodgeball, with Canterbury Dodgeball & Step Hip Hop, with Shanelle from Xtreme Step Hip Hop

When: Wednesday 15 October – 12 November 2025 from 3:15pm – 4:00pm

Where: Hagley Netball Courts 

Who: Individuals – mixed ages and genders

Entry: Via Teambuilder

Cost: FREE​​​​​​​

Pickleball

Pickleball is easy to learn, fast and fun. It brings together elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis to create a sport that can be enjoyed by students of all ages and skill levels. The sessions under the canopy at Rawhiti Domain will include an element of skill development and practice delivered by the team at the Eastern Community Sport and Recreation along with ample opportunity to play the game in a social environment.

When: Wednesday 15 October – 12 November 2025 from 3:15pm – 4:15pm

Where: Rawhiti Domain (Eastern Canopy, 100 Shaw Avenue, New Brighton)

Who: Individuals – mixed ages and genders

Entry: Via Teambuilder

Cost: $25 per player

All equipment will be supplied.
