Student Activation Lead

Based in Christchurch, the Student Activation Lead is a student-focused role designed to support, develop and evolve quality sporting and physical activity opportunities for all rangatahi, both in schools and through School Sport Canterbury (SSC) events. Engaging with our rangatahi to understand their needs and expectations, the role will review, adapt, and develop innovative opportunities and programmes which will meet the needs and improve the relevance of sporting experiences for our young people.

The Student Activation Lead will support SSC competition and event management at all levels, developing new, less traditional opportunities to appeal to students not currently engaging with our SSC programmes. This position will work extensively with Schools and external partners to innovate and support the delivery of high-quality, rangatahi-centric programmes, events and experiences. Collaborating with key stakeholders, this role will support the activation of the School Sport Canterbury Strategy, upholding the four pillars of Grow Participation, Champion Equity, Student Focused and Inspire Change.
