Empowering the Next Generation of Coaches: Student Coaching Workshop with Sport Canterbury
School Sport Canterbury, Regional Sport Organisations and Sport Canterbury are excited to partner to deliver opportunities for secondary school winter sport student coaches to participate in the 2025 Canterbury Student Coach Development Day. The aim of this program is to enhance the leadership and coaching capabilities of student coaches, boost their confidence, and establish support systems for them within their school sport environments. Development opportunities will be led by experienced Coach Developers, including sport specific Coach Developers.

9:45-10:15am | Ice Breaker and What makes a great coach Deliver energizer, draw knowledge from students. Close the loop via summary & reference to resources/frameworks. | Breakout Lead |
10:15-10:35am | Rotation 1 (Split into 6 x groups) Group of approx. 22. Break into 2x smaller group when possible. Deliver energizer, draw knowledge from students. Close the loop via summary & reference to resources/frameworks. | Breakout Lead |
