The 2022 Canterbury Secondary Schools Gymnastic championships (for all disciplines) will be based on the rules & regulations posted on the Gymnastics New Zealand Website.

The 2022 championships would run the same way as the NZ Secondary School events.

  • Tier 1: NZSS Gymnastic Championship Event where competitive gymnastics pathway athletes compete for NZSS Championships alongside selected Gymnastics NZ Endorsed Qualifying events.  These will be run alongside the Canterbury club championship events.

Students will need their Head of Sport / Sports Co-Ordinator to be entered via EnterNOW to confirm permission to represent the school.

  • Tier 2: NZSS Gymnastic Sports Cup where gymnastics can compete in multi-code event catering for novice and retired athletes. Competitive gymnastics pathway athletes may choose to compete a different gymnastic sport at this event.

  • Rhythmic:​ Canterbury Championships 9-10 April hosted by Olympia in Lincoln

Tier 2:

The Tier 2 Canterbury Secondary School events (Artistic, Rhythmic and Trampoline) will held on Tuesday 9 August at Olympia.
